“When we fail to provide children with what they need to build a strong foundation for healthy and productive lives, we put our future prosperity and security at risk.”

- Dr. Jack Shonkoff, a pediatrician and founding director of Harvard University’s Center on the Developing Child

It takes an engaged public to move an issue. Early childhood investments are critical to the state and to the constituents who elect our policymakers. Our youngest children desperately need an informed electorate to determine their future. Today’s children are our future leaders, parents and workers. Our state’s prosperity depends on their healthy development and growth.

Each of us has a responsibility to inform our policy makers about the importance of high quality early childhood experiences.
